Welcome to Stonewood Designs EDC site. We make custom knives, pendants, braided leather lanyards, lanyard beads and sometimes just whatever we feel like making.
We've had a long history and passion for working with various materials. We started off in the woodworking business around the mid 90's. The process of making specialized woodcarving tools to suit our carving style turned into a love for making custom knives. From there we delved into the world of leather working in order to make artful sheaths that would compliment our knives. Well, we wanted some a nice leather lanyards to go with those custom knives and sheaths. Therefore, leather braiding was next. Of course the lanyard beads had to follow. Every project is an adventure into new techniques and materials and we look forward to wherever those experiences take us.
